PAMELA ALMA WEYMOUTH, MSW, MFA

Hi! I’m a social worker, a mother of twin boys and I’m also a freelance writer, editor, and storyteller. Sometimes I’m funny, but when it comes to needle pokes and our children’s health I’m dead serious about changing the way we do things.

I earned my MSW at Hunter School of Social Work, my MFA in writing at University of San Francisco, and my BA at Princeton University.

What makes me an expert in needle pokes? I did several of my social work internships at hospitals, from Manhattan to Mexico to San Francisco—which taught me a lot about patient advocacy. As a mother of a child with a hypothyroid condition, I have learned a lot about what a good vs a poorly done needle poke looks like.

Motherhood is probably the greatest of all the schools that I’ve learned from. My goal is for other moms, dads and humans to not have to learn the hard way since I already did all the groundwork and found some really great solutions. Why should you reinvent the wheel? I want to share with you all I’ve learned so you can get the healing, the comfort and the health you and your family deserve.
